Lahori Beef Trotters - Lahori Paya Recipe
Ingredients:
- Beef Trotters: 2
- Onion sliced: 1
- Tomatoes sliced: 3
- Green peppers: 3
- Garlic, Ginger Paste: 3 tablespoons
- Salt: 1 a teaspoon or as per taste
- Red pepper: 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric: 1 teaspoon
- Cumin Powder: 1 tablespoon
- Coriander Powder: 1 tablespoon
- Spices: 2 tablespoons
- Bay Leaf: 2 leaves
- Cloves: 5
- Cinnamon: 2 to 3 sticks
- Ghee: ½ cup
For
Garnish:
- Green coriander
- Ginger
- Lemons
PROCEDURE:
- Take a large cooking pot and add all ingredients in it along with trotters and add a sufficient amount of water. (Do not add oil yet)
- Cook it for 3 to 4 hours on low heat till the trotters are done. Check time to time so that it may not burn out
- Dry out extra water and add half a cup of oil.
- Now cook it well for almost 10 minutes to fry raw ingredients
- Now add hot water as per your choice and cook for another 10 minutes on low heat.
- Delicious Lahore trotters are ready.
